Dubai, UAE, 27 February 2018: Swiss International Scientific School (SWISS) Team Two, with Adam Al Azhari and Dara Stankova at the wheel, won two of four races to take Round Three of the Emirates Schools Karting Championship at Dubai Kartdrome on Monday (26 February), propelling the team to the top of the championship standings.
Kayne Cherian, Joshua Mcgregor, Elie Nasser and Vladyslav Dashkovskyy nabbed their first Nomad category win this season for Dragsters DXB, keeping the team’s championship ambitions alive.
Adam Al Azhari of SWISS Team 2 jumped right into the competition with guns blazing. He took the chequered flag in Heat One by just 0.169 seconds ahead of Sultan Kurdali of GEMS World Academy. Kurdali had to settle for second-place but earned the fastest lap on the night in Heat One with a sizzling lap time of 1:19.439.
Al Azhari was even better in Heat Two, cruising in for victory a full 12.479 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Qais Hijazeen of GEMS International School (GIS) Al Khail Team 2 claimed second-place.

The other SWISS teams took control in the next two races, with Keanu Al Azhari of SWISS Team 3 winning Heat Three and his brother Enzo taking Heat Four for SWISS Team 1.
After the results for the four races were tallied up, Adam Al Azhari and Dara Stankova of SWISS Team 2 stood on the top step of the ESKC Class podium. SWISS Team 1 earned second-place and GEMS World Academy claimed third.
With 94 championship points after three rounds, SWISS Team 2 jumped to the top of the ESKC Class leaderboard, a mere point ahead of Kings Dubai on 93 points. SWISS Team 1 is still in the hunt with 82 points total. With only one round remaining, any of the three teams could be crowned champions.

In the Nomad category, for teams with drivers from different schools, Kayne Cherian, Joshua Mcgregor, Elie Nasser and Vladyslav Dashkovskyy of Dragsters DXB claimed a narrow class victory over championship leaders NASS Nomad Team, with drivers Maximillian Dexter and Taevan Stecyk. It was the first win of the season for Dragsters DXB, putting the team in contention for the final round.
NASS Nomad Team still control the Nomad championship with 71 points total, clinging to a narrow one-point margin over ALL Stars on 70 points. Dragsters DXB are right in the mix with 67 points total.
